Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Screenshotrun ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Screenshotrun is operated by the project owner ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid plan subscribers.

Description of Service

Screenshotrun provides a REST API for capturing website screenshots. The Service includes:

  • Screenshot capture in various formats (PNG, JPEG, WebP, PDF)
  • Full-page and element-level screenshots
  • Device emulation and custom viewport settings
  • Webhook notifications
  • Dashboard for managing API keys and viewing usage

Account Registration

To use the API, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Keep your account credentials and API keys secure
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Plans and Pricing

Free Plan: Includes a limited number of monthly screenshots. No credit card required.

Paid Plans: Offer higher limits, additional features, and priority support. Prices are listed on our Pricing page and may change with 30 days prior notice.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through LemonSqueezy. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Upon cancellation:

  • Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • After that, your account reverts to the free plan
  • No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods

If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the Service, contact us and we will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Capture screenshots of illegal content
  • Violate the rights of third parties (copyright, trademark, privacy)
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the API
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
  • Use automated tools to create fake accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
  • Use the Service for phishing, fraud, or any malicious purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if we determine a violation of these terms.

API Keys and Security

API keys are personal and should not be shared publicly. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your API keys confidential
  • Rotating keys if you suspect they have been compromised
  • All API usage made with your keys, whether authorized by you or not

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, documentation, and branding, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of it without written permission.

Screenshots you capture through the API are your responsibility. We make no claims over the content of your screenshots, but you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture and use that content.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice when possible)
  • Unexpected technical issues
  • Factors beyond our control (hosting provider outages, network issues)

We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not responsible for the content of websites you screenshot or for any third-party actions

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
